meet our team
Michael Buckley, MFT Intern
Location: Virtual & in-person
Hello! I’m Michael. I’m a proud native New Yorker who now calls Michigan home. I’ve spent the last two decades as an elementary school teacher, helping kids handle everything school (and life) threw at them.
Being a teacher—along with being a dad and a husband—has shaped the way I show up as a therapist. I understand how much both kids and adults need to feel seen, supported, and safe. My own experience working through childhood trauma taught me that while the past can leave a mark, it doesn’t have to write your future. Now, I use that insight to walk alongside clients as they reclaim their stories and build something new.
I'm also trained in Brainspotting, a powerful brain-body approach that helps people move through trauma, anxiety, and stuck emotions at a deeper level. If you’ve tried talk therapy and felt like something was still missing, Brainspotting might be the missing piece.
In our work together, we’ll focus on real change—shifts you can feel not just in the therapy room, but in your day-to-day life. Whether you're processing old wounds, facing parenting stress, working through addiction recovery, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to help you find your footing and feel more grounded.
If you’re ready to get started—or even just curious—reach out. Let’s talk about how therapy could be a game-changer for you or your child.
