meet our team

Michael Buckley, MFT Intern

Location: Virtual & in-person

Hello! I’m Michael. I’m a proud native New Yorker who now calls Michigan home. I’ve spent the last two decades as an elementary school teacher, helping kids handle everything school (and life) threw at them.

Being a teacher, as well as a dad and husband, has deeply informed my understanding of what both children and adults need to feel supported and understood. These roles have taught me the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment, crucial for personal growth. Additionally, my own journey through childhood trauma has shown me that while our past shapes us, it doesn’t have to define us. Now, as a therapist, I bring these lessons into every session, aiming to help you build resilience and find new ways to approach life’s challenges.

In our work together, we’ll focus on what really matters—making real changes that you can feel in your everyday life, not just temporary fixes. Whether you’re coming to terms with the past or trying to manage today's stressors, I’m here to help you through it. We’ll work together to find solutions that fit your life and help you move toward a more peaceful and empowered future.

If you’re thinking about therapy or just need someone to guide you through a tough patch, reach out. Let’s start a conversation about how we can work together to make your journey a little easier.
