Finding the right therapist for your child or teen can be challenging. If you are looking for a therapist who brings genuine warmth, humor, and playfulness into the session, I may be the right fit for your family.
As both a therapist and a mom, I understand the importance of meeting families exactly where they are. My passion lies in supporting families as a whole, not just focusing on fixing problems.
I work with elementary-aged children and teens (ages 8–18) navigating the unique pressures of school stress, managing big emotions, family changes, social challenges, and the emotional weight that comes with them. It can be hard to know how to help when your child feels overwhelmed, withdrawn, or struggles with anxiety. I offer a safe space where your loved one can find their voice, learn new coping skills, and embrace their uniqueness.
My background as a former elementary teacher and school guidance counselor has equipped me with the skills to create a welcoming and safe space for ALL children. I offer convenient after-school hours to accommodate your family's busy schedule.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and creative. I often integrate play, art, and humor to make therapy feel engaging and less like a chore. I partner closely with the child, teen, and their parents to ensure the positive changes made in the session last outside of it.
The focus of our work will be on helping young people:
Build confidence and self-esteem.
Improve self-regulation skills.
Manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Develop healthier communication skills with family and friends.
Above all, I value honesty, humor, and bringing a grounded, genuine presence to the therapeutic process. My goal is for your child or teen to feel completely seen and understood in every session and I would be honored to work with you.

As a therapist, I am driven by a deep commitment to inclusivity and grounded in evidence-based practices. My former career gave me a unique opportunity to both teach and counsel children and teens experiencing challenges with anxiety, depression, self-harm, PTSD, Autism, and ADHD. I believe my diverse lived experience strengthens clinical insights and enhances the care I provide, offering a safe, affirming space for at-risk youth and those who identify as LGBTQIA.

FAVORITE WAY TO UNWIND:
When I need to unwind, you’ll find me listening to music while gardening, or planning my next trip exploring our beautiful National Parks.
a life-changing piece of advice you’ve received:
My professional and personal life are guided by the life-changing advice I once received:
The teachings of Stephen R. Covey “'Listen to understand, not respond” which emphasizes empathic listening to comprehend the person's perspective, emotions, and intent rather than just preparing an answer or response. Basically, being present, avoiding judgement, so I can truly hear the other person…be in the present moment.
skill you’re currently working on:
Currently, I'm working on becoming more environmentally and sustainability-minded, which often involves taking on a few new DIY projects around the house.
favorite part about BEING A THERAPIST:
My favorite part about being in this field is witnessing the profound moments of growth—the sparkles in my client's eyes, the nods of recognition and awareness, and the smiles that come along with accomplishing hard things. Working with kiddos and teens is not a job for me; it's a passion, and I truly feel like I have the best seat in the house.
