Melissa Rappaport, MA, LPC
Melissa works with children and teens (ages 8–18) navigating anxiety, depression, school stress, big emotions, social challenges, and family transitions, and has extensive experience with ADHD, Autism, PTSD, and self-harm concerns.
A former elementary teacher and school guidance counselor, she brings a strong understanding of how kids learn and cope both in and out of the classroom. Her work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including ACT, Parent Management Training (PMT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and she is deeply committed to creating a safe, affirming space for at-risk and LGBTQIA+ youth.
Melissa offers convenient after-school appointments and takes a collaborative, play-based approach that helps young people build confidence, emotional regulation, and healthier communication skills — while partnering closely with parents to support lasting change.
